“Vet for a Day” is an engaging therapy program designed and organised by The Speech Tree in collaboration with AAMBR (Australian Animal Medical & Behavioural Rehabilitation). This unique program aims to educate and empower young people by immersing them in the world of animal care while also providing affirming opportunities for fun and connection with others.
During the program, participants step into the shoes of a veterinarian or animal trainer and gain firsthand experience in various aspects of animal care. The program incorporates real animals, allowing participants to interact with and care for these lovable companions under the guidance of experienced professionals. The presence of these animals not only creates a realistic and immersive environment but also provides valuable opportunities for emotional connection and therapeutic engagement.
The “Vet for a Day” program is tailored to accommodate the diverse needs of our client base, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Trained professionals from The Speech Tree and AAMBR are adept at creating a safe and affirming space for participants, ensuring that everyone feels valued and understood.
